The person behind Phronesis

A personal IT department rests on one person. Here is yours.

Eric Pignol

For more than twenty years, I ran day-to-day IT for large organisations: service centres, user support, major outsourcing contracts, with teams of up to around 300 people.

I founded Phronesis IT to bring the same rigour to those who have no IT department: professional practices, independents and families. One point of contact, written commitments, and IT you no longer have to think about.

Background

  • Interim manager for IT support transformation at a national medical laboratory group (since 2026)
  • Independent senior consultant in IT service management and governance (since 2022): maturity audits, support chains, processes and tools
  • Audit of IT outsourcing contracts for a major client, in strict confidence (2025)
  • IT service manager for an international healthcare group (2024-2025)
  • Business unit manager at an IT services company in Lyon (2023-2024)

Education and certifications

  • Studied at Coventry University, United Kingdom
  • Nexthink DEX Management Professional, measuring users' digital experience (2026)
  • [Other certifications to confirm: ITIL, Nexthink…]
  • Bilingual English and French

Why Phronesis? Because in IT, technical skill is not enough. You need to know what to do, what to avoid, and when to act. Aristotle called it practical wisdom, and it is how I work.
